Once again, we had the opportunity to acknowledge the area’s top students. We asked each of our schools to select one student from their welding program as their most outstanding welding student of the year. The AWS St. Louis Section board members feel that selecting one outstanding student from each program will help to promote student involvement and participation in the American Welding Society.

Our outstanding students were as follows:

Jasmine Penny from Ironworkers Local 392 Austin Puckett from Jefferson College ATS (High School program) Sam Holaway from Jefferson College (College program) Sarah Lamprecht from Ranken Technical, College William Nordmann from Collinsville Area Vocational Center Cody Moore from Ironworkers Local 396 Caylyn Powell from St. Charles Community College Dylan Gordon from North West High School Jake Masters from Lewis & Clark Community College Joshua Taylor from John A Logan College
