Hello AWS Sacramento Valley Section Members and Friends,

We would like to thank all those who were able to attend the January meeting in Stockton at Delta College and had the oppurtunity to meet and listen to Alex Demirjian speak and discuss how new inverter technology, with their advanced waveforms and controls, such as that found in Miller’s line of Dynasty® TIG welders, has created substantial production increases, improved quality, and simply made it easier to weld. Congratulations to the students who won an AWS Student Membership! We invite you to our next meeting on February 21st, which is being held at American River College. This month we have Efram Abrams visiting from the East Coast to bring vital information to help grow the future of welding.

Efram has been with AWS for over 7 years, first working in the Standards Development department as a secretary to many of the volunteer technical committees tasked with the development and revision of the AWS Welding Specifications, Codes, Recommended Practices and is now responsible for the promotion of the educational resources that AWS has to offer.
