Application on any other form will not be considered.<\/li><li>You are not required to be a member of the American Welding Society. In fact, if you are awarded a Scholarship, you will receive a one (1) year full membership to the Society, paid for by the Section.<br \/>You will be required to attend at least one (1) AWS meeting for each quarter awarded.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong><u>National, District, and Section Scholarships \u2013 Deadline March 1st for the following fall term<\/u><\/strong><\/p><p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.aws.org\/foundation\/page\/national-scholarships#Sections\"><strong>National Scholarships<\/strong><\/a><strong><br \/><\/strong>For students pursuing a specific degree at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university. Scholarships range from $3,000 \u2013 $5,000+.<\/p><p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.aws.org\/foundation\/page\/district-scholarships\"><strong>District Scholarships<\/strong><\/a><strong><br \/><\/strong>A minimum of $15,000 is available in each of AWS\u2019s 22 Districts for students pursuing a degree or certificate in a welding or welding-related program. Scholarships typically range from $1,000 to $2,500+.<\/p><p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aws.org\/foundation\/page\/section-named-and-district-named-scholarships\">Section and District Named Scholarships<\/a><\/strong><\/p><p><strong>Chuck Daily Scholarship<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>Jerry Hope Memorial\u00a0 Scholarship<\/strong><\/p><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aws.org\/foundation\/page\/welder-training-scholarship\"><strong>Welder Training Scholarship<\/strong><\/a><br \/>For students seeking welder training in a certificate program less than two years in length through a trade school, community college, or other facility providing welder training.\u00a0Each District has a minimum of 25 &#8211; $1,000 scholarships to award.
