Over 30 students participated for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place awards. The competition included welding test plates in the vertical and overhead positions as well as a written test on welding knowledge. The test plates were visually inspected and plates that passed the VT were passed on for radiography testing (RT). Students whose plates passed the VT will receive their qualification paperwork. The contest over the years has been the Pittsburgh Section\u2019s way to promote welding education and skills with the local student chapters. The contest invited Secondary High Schools Welding Programs, Post-Secondary College and Trade School Welding Programs to the competition. Awards will be presented at the Student Awards Night Ceremony in March.<\/div>\n<center>\n<a
