Event Summary: The American Welding Society Pittsburgh Section hosted this annual event at LeMont Restaurant in Pittsburgh, PA to recognize the current and past chairmen of the Section. After a fantastic dinner, with unbelievable views of the city, was enjoyed by all, Reagan Eichert, Student Chapter Chairperson from Parkway West Career & Tech Center, talked about her experience at the Leadership Symposium in Miami, being the youngest to attend this year, at 18 years old, encouraging others to attend. Reagan’s talk was followed by a very interesting & informative presentation by Matt Boring of DNV Energy Systems on Weld Failures Involved in Pipeline Girth Welds. The night was concluded with recognition to the past District Director, Roger Hilty and the past Section Chairman, Don Stoll and a welcoming of the new District Director, Randall Dull and Section Chairman, Huck Hughes.
