 
															The AWS Student Chapter @ Dorchester Career and Tech Center welcomes you to learn more about our Student Chapter, its members, and our efforts to live the mission of the American Welding Society: a nonprofit organization with a global mission to advance the science, technology and application of welding and allied joining and cutting processes, including brazing, soldering and thermal spraying.

					- To educate, certify, prepare, and train students
- Prepare students for job and career readiness. Students leave high school into a program, trade school, college, or career. Program connection to businesses
- Provide real world certifications and portfolios displaying knowledge and skills.
- Connect students, companies, and the community with the program.
						“I love welding.  The meetings and the shop were a lot of fun and are the reason I want to weld.  I am actually currently in a program at Fabtech California pursuing additional certifications and knowledge surrounding welding.  I cannot wait until I began working”.
