AWS Philadelphia Section Member meeting Wednesday DEC 15, 2021 @ 7:00PM

We have made numerous attempts to have a in person meetings as we used to, however have ran into problems at various locations in the area due to Covid concerns, their guidelines as well as the Philadelphia area mandates. We will make every effort to resume in person meetings as soon as we can. In the meantime, please join us!

Agenda:

  • Meet the board.

  • Speaker Don Gibbons from the Northeast Carpenters Apprentice Training Fund who is a CWI an instructor with 20 years in the welding industry and 10 years in commercial diving will give a presentation of his career in underwater construction and welding:

    • Also, will explain the steps to become an underwater welder/construction professional.

    • Take any questions

  • Section updates

  • Door prizes at the end of the meeting to include:

    • (1) $100, and (2) $50.00 Gift certificates will be raffled off then mailed out

  • Up and coming AWS Philadelphia Section Member meetings:

    • January 12, Keen Welding supply; Student Night and Discussion on Weld discontinuities (in person)

    • February, Team NDT Inspection Services- Tentative (in person)

In Pennsylvania to include Philadelphia and Delaware Counties.  In Chester County south of Honey Brook, and the south half of Bucks Mercer, Burlington, Ocean, Atlantic, Camden, Gloucester, Salem, Cumberland and Cape May Counties.

In Delaware to include New Castle, Kent and Sussex Counties. 

In Maryland to include Cecil, Kent, Queen Anne’s, Caroline, Talbot, Dorchester, Wicomico, Somerset and Worcester Counties.
