CANCELLED
<\/strong>Annual Student \/ Apprentice Welding Contest<\/strong><\/h2>

AWS Peoria Section Member,<\/p>

In an attempt to limit the spread of the coronavirus, Illinois Central College has canceled or limited student activities over the next month. Therefore, the annual AWS Peoria section student and apprentice welding contest has been canceled. Hopefully, we will be able to hold the contest in April, perhaps in conjunction with the AWS Peoria section Student Night.<\/p>

We, as the board of directors of the AWS Peoria section, believe limiting social contact is the correct decision until more data can be collected about the spread and effect of the virus. We believe it is our responsibility to protect the section membership and future members.<\/p>

If you have questions, please contact me or Curt Rippey at crippey@icc.edu<\/a>.<\/p>

We appreciate your patience and understanding. I will send a notice about the reschedule of the contest as soon as I receive information.<\/p>

Hopefully, we will be able to hold the annual Steak Fry on 1 May. As with the contest, I will send information about future meetings as soon as I can.<\/p>
