2nd Annual AWS Welding Competition<\/h1><\/div><\/div><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table>
The word has been buzzing about, but I wanted to send out the official 2nd Annual AWS Welding Competition Announcement!!<\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
*We had our 1st Annual event in 2019, and it was a great event, and we have been patiently awaiting for the opportunity to do this again since COVID 19 shut it down in 2020.<\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
** Date of EVENT: Saturday May 8th 2021. Registration will begin at 8am.<\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
**Erie Institute of Technology will be hosting the event for us this year.<\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
**This is a great opportunity for welding students and working welders to show off their skills and to meet new people. Steamfitters Local 449 out of Pittsburgh will be sending their recruiter and welding instructor as representatives. Many local companies in industry have donated time, materials and money and prizes, and we\u2019d like to say THANK YOU!<\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>

** All entries will receive an event T-Shirt (size to be indicated on registration form)<\/div>

**Scholarships will be awarded for winning places for those continuing welding education.<\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
** The event will be featured in the AWS Welders Journal which is distributed NATIONALLY!<\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
**Warren Company has donated a heavy duty welding work bench (Heavy Duty Work Bench – The Warren Company), that will be raffled off.<\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
** Breakfast and Lunch will be provided<\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
** The welding processes for the competition will be GMAW and SMAW in multiple positions.<\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
** Please see the attached Flyer and Registration Form for further details.<\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
** Make sure to get your registrations in before May 1st.<\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
