Good Afternoon all,<\/p>

The blizzard that we are expecting is forecasting 18-22 inches of snow with most of the snow currently scheduled for Wednesday night through Thursday morning. Even if we cut the snow fall in half this will still be a substantial storm with a strong risk of white out conditions and road closures.<\/p>

With everyone’s safety in mind the Northwest Section has decided the AWS D1.1 Prequalified WPS Seminar is Postponed with a new date March 2, 2023 starting at noon. Same goes for the AWS Section meeting that was to follow.<\/p>

Seminar – Writing Prequalified WPS’s 4 PDH’s (Professional Development Hours) followed by AWS Meeting.<\/p>

During this Seminar attendees will learn the requirements of D1.1 Clause 5 for Prequalified WPS’s, examine specific examples of WPS’s, and discuss common errors that are made by Welding Procedure Specification writers. A Copy of AWS D1.1 will be projected on the screens, but it is highly recommended that you bring your own copy of AWS D1.1:2020 for a more immersive experience. Price of Attendance is $75.00 (Cash, Check or CC at the door), Profits to AWS Scholarship fund.<\/p>

Michael Carey is a Certified Welding Inspector, Welding Engineering Technologist and NDT Specialist. He has 22+ years of experience in AWS, ASME, API, Military specifications and international code applications.<\/p>
