Scholarships range from $3,000 \u2013 $5,000+.<\/p><p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.aws.org\/foundation\/page\/district-scholarships\"><strong>District Scholarships<\/strong><\/a><strong><br \/><\/strong>A minimum of $15,000 is available in each of AWS\u2019s 22 Districts for students pursuing a degree or certificate in a welding or welding-related program. Scholarships typically range from $1,000 to $2,500+.<\/p><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aws.org\/foundation\/page\/section-named-and-district-named-scholarships\"><strong>Section and District Named Scholarships<\/strong><\/a><\/p><p><strong>District 15 Scholarship<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>Northwest Section Scholarship<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>Northwest Section &#8211; Mace Harris Scholarship<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Applicant must have or be working towards a High School diploma or GED<\/li><li>The student must have also applied for the District Scholarship<\/li><li>Proof of financial need<\/li><li>Full time student<\/li><li>This scholarship will be awarded to a student in the Northwest Section<\/li><li>Awardee must be a student in good standing and maintain a 2.0 (C) average while attending<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Northwest Section &#8211; Mike Hanson &amp; Bob Sands Scholarship<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Applicant must have or be working towards a High School diploma or GED<\/li><li>The student must have also applied for the District Scholarship<\/li><li>Proof of financial need<\/li><li>Full time student<\/li><li>This scholarship will be awarded to a student in the Northwest Section<\/li><li>Awardee must be a student in good standing and maintain a 2.0 (C) average while attending<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Production Engineering\/Mike Albers\/N.W. Section Scholarship<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>The student must have also applied for the District Scholarship<\/li><li>Proof of financial need<\/li><li>Full time student<\/li><li>This scholarship will be awarded to a student in the Northwest Section<\/li><li>Student may be pursuing a certificate or associates degree, and exhibit interest in welding related, brazing and resistance welding.<\/li><li>Preference will be given to a student at Anoka Technical College.<\/li><li>Awardee must be a student in good standing and maintain a 2.0 (C) average while attending<\/li><\/ul><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aws.org\/foundation\/page\/welder-training-scholarship\"><strong>Welder Training Scholarship<\/strong><\/a><br \/>For students seeking welder training in a certificate program less than two years in length through a trade school, community college, or other facility providing welder training. Each District has a minimum of 25 &#8211; $1,000 scholarships to award.
