Event Summary: Mr. Kale provided a very informative interactive presentation on asbestos exposures in the workplace and home. There were many questions that were asked, discussed, and answered during and after the meeting. Section Chairman Jacob Newton announced the date for the 2025 New Orleans Section Student Welder Competition which is scheduled for November 9, 2025. This year’s competition should be the largest yet with Students competing from local area high schools, Louisiana technical/community colleges, and State registered apprenticeship programs. The event was catered by Rougarou BBQ. The New Orleans Section would like to thank Baron & Budd for their continued support of the welding industry and for sponsoring the May General Meeting.
