Event Summary: The AWS New Orleans Section’s March General Meeting was sponsored by Gas & Supply, Inc., Richard (Mousey) Chiasson, President. This month’s speaker was Justin Parrish Airhart, Chief Operating Officer with SSE Steel Fabrication. Mr. Airhart provided a presentation on Humanoid Welding Robotics and the Future of Welding Fitting in a Shop Environment.
March is when we present our Section awards to those individuals who dedicate their time and leadership to the industry. This year’s attending recipients were; Cathy Boucvalt – Section Educator Award; Alcindo Frye – Section Educator Award; Richard J Georgeon – Section Educator Award; Aldo Duron – Private Sector Instructor Section Award; Joe Carbo – Section CWI of the Year Award; DJ Berger – Section Meritorious Award.
