He is a Professional Engineer and a Certified Welding Inspector. This annual award in honor of his family is meant for welding technical professionals completing four-year technical degrees contributing to the advancement of welding research and technology.<\/p> Priority will be given to students in the fourth\/final year pursuing a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Welding Engineering or closely related program.<\/p> Women of Gases & Welding – District 20 Scholarship<\/strong><\/p> Founded in November 2011, the Women of Gases & Welding (WGW) has a mission to enhance the success of women in the gases and welding industry through advocacy, recruitment, and professional development. <\/strong>For students pursuing a specific degree at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university. Scholarships range from $3,000 \u2013 $5,000+.<\/p>
<\/strong>A minimum of $15,000 is available in each of AWS\u2019s 22 Districts for students pursuing a degree or certificate in a welding or welding-related program. Scholarships typically range from $1,000 to $2,500+.<\/p>
