Event Summary: AWS LV Section 135 hosted their April 10th meeting at Fabricator Kevin Stone’s shop in North Las Vegas. Brad Hemmert with Miller Electric was generous enough to attend the event with their Laser Welding Demo Trailer. He gave a presentation about the Laser Welding process including safety and it’s advantages, and then gave everyone a chance to demo the OptX 2kW Handheld Laser. Kevin Stone was on site to showcase the amazing sculptures he’s creating as well as talk with members and guests about what it took to be a leader in metal sculpture fabrication industry.
