During this meeting, students of the community college<\/span><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">as well as surrounding high schools learned about why the American Welding Society is<\/span><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">important to us as welders, as well as how to join and the benefits of becoming a<\/span><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">member(Opportunities, scholarships, etc.). Mark Sapp of section 137 gave the presentation to the<\/span><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">students while they were fed Subway sandwiches for dinner, after Mark\u2019s presentation local<\/span><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">vendors (Arc 3, Airgas, and Dillon Supply) gave a small presentation about what they do for the<\/span><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">community and what they sell. After the vendor presentation, there was a raffle for AWS hats.<\/span><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">After the meeting concluded the instructors of BCC, Ted Clayton and Eric Braddy gave a tour of<\/span><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">their shop as well as a sculpture that was made by Braddy and some of his students that is now<\/span><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">on campus.
