Welcome All,<\/p>

First and foremost I would like to thank you for giving me the privilege and honor to serve as your 2019-2020 Mobile Section Chairman. This year our team has worked diligently to arrange for meetings that will be both informative and interesting to all of our members. As we go through the year, if you have any questions regarding the Mobile Section or our meetings please do not hesitate to ask myself or any of the other offices listed below.<\/p>

Once again, we would like to start the year recognizing our student scholarship recipients. These scholarships are made available through the dedication of the Mobile\u00a0Section members and the local industry that supports our cause. In addition to recognizing our students, this meeting also serves as recognition to those who have participated in providing for the scholarship funds.<\/p>

Building on the success of last year\u2019s opening meeting, we are again going to begin this year with a \u201cWelding Trivia\u201d meeting. Jackie Morris, owner of Morris Marine Consulting and AWS member of 30+ years, will be our speaker. In a fun interactive manner, Jackie is going to share with us some of his welding knowledge gathered throughout his career, and how his membership with AWS has benefited him. Come and join us to see what questions Jackie has dug up and win some prizes.<\/p>

As you may have noticed above, we are moving our meeting registration process online via Eventbrite<\/strong><\/a>. This change in registration will allow us to become more fiscally responsible, efficient, and ultimately provide you with a better experience. While understanding that change is difficult, for this September meeting we will still accept registration through Brenda Amos at BrendaA@wescoweld.com<\/strong><\/a> or by calling (251)\u00a0378-4162, please RSVP by Monday, Sept. 9th<\/strong>, to ensure we have enough food for all to enjoy. Thank you for your patience and cooperation during this period of transition.<\/p>
