Event Summary: The Mobile Section kicked off their 2025-2026 year with their annual Scholarship Night. The meeting was hosted
by Pensacola State College, in Pensacola Florida. Mike Listau gave a great presentation on industry trends for
the Gulf Coast and what Pensacola State College is doing to help fill the gaps in the industry workforce.
Two scholarship recipients were recognized, Marcus Byrd and Kimberly Lugo. All students in attendance received
a welding cap and door prizes were awarded.
There were 43 in attendance at the meeting. Food was catered by Café Catering.
A special thanks goes to Rafael Deliz, Department Head, Applied Technology and Professional Services and
welding instructor, Jac Rolison, both of Pensacola State College, for their help putting the meeting together and
hosting.
