AWS Mobile Section Technical Meeting
This will be the last meeting of the calendar year. Instructors, please encourage your students to attend as this is when we award our students with prizes for the most attendance.
Our speaker for this month will be Mr. George Fairbanks of FIT, (Fairbanks Inspection and Testing).
Mr. Fairbanks is a family man, a devout Catholic Christan, a Navy veteran, 10 years as a research technician for LSU, 44 years as a CWI, and was the 2004 National CWI of the year. He is a past District 9 Director, 2012 AWS Counselor and is currently a 7-time AWS Baton Rouge Chairman. He started Fairbanks Inspection & Testing in 2008. Over his 40 plus years in the industry, he has written thousands of welding procedures and hundreds of repair procedures.
