Event Summary: AWS representatives from the Boston, Central Massachusetts/Rhode Island, Connecticut, Green & White Mountains, and Maine Sections met in Concord, N.H., for the Annual District 1 Conference. Led by District Director Timothy Kinnaman, attendees discussed District and Section business, voted on award and scholarship recipients, and selected local representatives to attended both the AWS Instructor’s Institute and Leadership Symposium. A headquarter update was presented by AWS staff representative and Welding Journal Editor-in-Chief Cindy Weihl. After the meeting, attendees enjoyed a group dinner and networking.
