Mike Barrett, a principal welding engineer for Westinghouse Electric Company, will dive into the world of welding on nuclear power plants. He’ll discuss the key welding codes used, critical nuclear plant components, and how welding is applied to make repairs. Mike will also reveal details on some first-of-a-kind repairs currently being developed. Cutting-edge work you won’t want to miss!
With 18 years in the welding industry and a welding engineering degree from Ohio State University, Mike is highly active on AWS and ASME committees. He serves as chair of the Nickel Filler Metal Committee and Vice Chair of the Committee on Procedure and Performance Qualification.
