Come and join us for a hands-on welding experience and the opportunity to network with fellow welding students, instructors, and welding industry professionals.
Representatives from Lincoln Electric and Miller Electric will be on-hand offering demonstrations and the opportunity to operate the latest pieces of welding equipment.
This year’s Open House will feature:
Hand-held laser welding with Miller Electric
Aluminum welding with the Miller Electric CoPilot (Collaborative robotic welding system)
Augmented Reality Welding with the Miller Augmented Arc welding simulator
Contests for High School and College students with the winners receiving a $400 Miller Auto-Darkening Welding Helmet
Pulsed MIG Welding using the Lincoln Electric Power Wave 300C advanced-process power source
There will be contests for High School and College students with the winners receiving a $400 Lincoln Auto-Darkening Welding Helmet
Door Prizes
All students and instructors will receive a small gift as they sign in
Free Raffle Prizes
All students and instructors will receive a free raffle ticket for approximately $3000 worth of welding gear to be given away at the end of the evening
Prize giveaways made possible by: Lincoln Electric, Miller Electric, Badger Welding Supplies, MSC, and the AWS Madison College Student Chapter.
A light meal of Subway subs, chips, cookies, and beverages will be provided to all industry guests, College and High School welding students and instructors, and the guests of welding students, compliments of the AWS Madison-Beloit Section and the AWS Madison College Student Chapter.
