My name is Alisyn Palla, and I am an artist and owner of Meraki Metal Works in Bakersfield, California. I am also the newly elected Chairperson for the American Welding Society Kern Section 170 – your local Section!
I am writing not just to introduce myself, but also to personally invite you to attend our next Section networking event, which will be held at Lengthwise Brewing Company, located at 7700 District Blvd., on November 15, 2024, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.

We will also be selling raffle tickets at the event on November 15, as well as beforehand at the following Bakersfield stores – American Fabrication, Barnes Welding Supply, Linde, Airgas, as well as Cooper’s True Value in Taft.
You will definitely want to get I on some raffle tickets this year! Myself, and my newly elected leadership team, will be working hard to grow and rebuild our Section, finding new ways for us to network and build stronger connections within our local community. In doing so, we would love to hear about how you might like to be involved, or what you would like to get from your membership with the American Welding Society.
