Scholarships range from $3,000 \u2013 $5,000+.<\/p><p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.aws.org\/foundation\/page\/district-scholarships\"><strong>District Scholarships<\/strong><\/a><strong><br \/><\/strong>A minimum of $15,000 is available in each of AWS\u2019s 22 Districts for students pursuing a degree or certificate in a welding or welding-related program. Scholarships typically range from $1,000 to $2,500+.<\/p><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aws.org\/foundation\/page\/section-named-and-district-named-scholarships\"><strong>Section and District Named Scholarships<\/strong><\/a><\/p><p><strong>Karl Fogleman &#8211; District 16 Scholarship<\/strong><\/p><p>This scholarship was named for Karl Fogleman District 16 Director on February 3, 2018<\/p><ul><li>This Scholarship will be awarded to a student pursuing a career in welding or welding related courses<\/li><li>Applicant must have a minimum high school diploma or GED.<\/li><li>Proof of financial need is required<\/li><li>Applicant must be a US Citizen<\/li><li>Applicant must reside in District 16<\/li><li>Preference will be given to an AWS Member<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Richard &#8220;Dick&#8221; Emmit Blaisdell \u2013 Kansas City Section Scholarship &#8211; May 1st Deadline<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Restricted to students who live in Kansas City Section 016.<\/li><li>Restricted to students who attend school in Missouri or Kansas.<\/li><li>This scholarship is for a full time student, with an overall GPA of 2.5, who has proof of financial need, and is an undergraduate.<\/li><li>This scholarship is for a student pursuing a certificate, associates or bachelors in welding, or related, or civil engineering.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Roland Edward &#8220;Buck&#8221; Emmert Schola<\/strong><strong>rship- May 1st Deadline<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Restricted to students who live in Kansas City Section 016.<\/li><li>Restricted to students who attend school in Missouri or Kansas.<\/li><li>This scholarship is for a full time student, with an overall GPA of 2.5, who has proof of financial need, and is an undergraduate.<\/li><li>This scholarship is for a student pursuing a certificate, associates or bachelors in welding, or related, or civil engineering.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Brian &#8220;Bigfoot&#8221; McKee Welder Scholarship &#8211; May 1st Deadline<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Restricted to students who live in Kansas City Section 016.<\/li><li>This scholarship is for a student with an overall GPA of 2.5, who has proof of financial need.<\/li><li>This scholarship is for a student pursuing a certificate, associates or bachelors in welding, or welding related.<\/li><li>Applicants must be a US Citizen.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Your Local Kansas City Section Scholarship &#8211; May 1st Deadline<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Restricted to students who live in Kansas City Section 016.<\/li><li>This scholarship is for a student with an overall GPA of 2.5, who has proof of financial need.<\/li><li>This scholarship is for a student pursuing a certificate, associates or bachelors in welding, or welding related.<\/li><li>Applicants must be a US Citizen.<\/li><\/ul><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aws.org\/foundation\/page\/welder-training-scholarship\"><strong>Welder Training Scholarship<\/strong><\/a><br \/>For students seeking welder training in a certificate program less than two years in length through a trade school, community college, or other facility providing welder training.
