Officer Elections<\/strong><\/span><\/h2><\/div><\/div><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Season\u2019s greetings to the members of AWS Idaho\/Montana Section 185.<\/p>

It is time to elect officers for our geographically very diverse Section. As per AWS rules, we need a Section Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, and two Vice-Chairs. We may appoint and\/or elect people to occupy further positions.\u00a0<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Our Section has been centered in the Upper Snake River Valley for many years, but we would like to change that. We can now take advantage of remote communications technologies, and there is no reason that officers cannot be located anywhere in the Section.\u00a0<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

In many cases, though, there is no substitute for person-to-person contact, and, to that end, we plan to establish several Vice Chairs located in various regions. We hope that communications among the informal \u201ccouncil\u201d of Vice Chairs will promote local activities, provide channels for members in all areas to ask questions and identify issues to send up the chain, facilitate scholarships and other benefits, and increase attendance at District Conferences and other meetings.\u00a0<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Please consider participating in this way. We would like to have our new officers installed before the end of calendar year 2023, to get a running start in 2024.\u00a0<\/p>

Other traditional AWS Section positions potentially useful in our Section include the following. They are appointed by the Chair, so there is no deadline for this election. But please inquire as to duties if you are interested.\u00a0<\/p>
