Participants<\/span><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">showcased their skills in both Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) and Gas<\/span><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), tackling welds in various positions tailored to<\/span><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">their training hours. Industry volunteers from John Deere Power Products<\/span><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">(Greeneville, TN), Komatsu (Duffield, VA), and Lincoln Electric lent their<\/span><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">expertise as judges, evaluating competitors across two divisions: beginner<\/span><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">(up to 300 training hours) and advanced (over 300 training hours).<\/span><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Contest Results<\/span><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">In the advanced division (Over 300 Hours), there were 14 competitors. The<\/span><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">top five places are as follows.<\/span><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">1st Randall Strickland GTC<\/span><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">2nd Michael Velez GTC<\/span><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">3rd Evelyn Moreno GTC<\/span><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">4th Tillman Graham GTC (The only 10th grader in the contest)<\/span><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">5th Lance Scheller GTC<\/span><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">In the beginner division (300 Hours or Less), there were 9 overall<\/span><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">competitors.
