Speaker: Sam Rowell – NESCC – Vice President
for Economic and Workforce Development<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/div><\/div><\/div>

We would like to invite our members and any interested guests to come to the NESCC campus in Blountville TN to hear a short presentation related to the welding and other technical field offerings at the Blountville Campus from Sam Rowell – NESCC – Vice President for Economic and Workforce Development.<\/p>

After the presentation, we will be able to tour the newly built facility and possibly observe training in action. If possible, please bring safety glasses, however we will also have some available. There is a also a possibility of a small single bead “Welding Contest” for another prize however details are still being worked out. Bring your hood just in case. If nothing else, maybe we can burn a few rods for fun.<\/p>

This is a great opportunity for teachers, students, and industry to get together and observe welding education in progress at a newly built facility. As welding professionals, we have the ability to share this great trade with others and encourage them to pursue the many paths that are available in our industry. We encourage you to come.<\/p>

We will be giving away one welding helmet to a student who attends the meeting and is currently enrolled in a welding program in High School or a Post Secondary program.<\/p>

We are looking forward to more activity this year and would love some input from section members. Please consider attending and feel free to contact any AWS Section Officer if you have any questions.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/div><\/div><\/div>
