Eastern Iowa Community Colleges (EICC) and American Welding Society (AWS) Eastern Iowa Section 162 are proud to present the 2026 Welding Competition.
Local high school and college students are invited to compete for a chance to win welding gear and AWS scholarships!
The competition will take place on Wednesday, May 20 from 9AM – 2PM.
Doors open at 9AM
Event starts at 10AM
How to Sign Up:
Students: Click THIS LINK to fill out a form to enter the competition. Students will have the opportunity to choose to enter one of the following welding processes:
· Gas metal arc welding (GMAW)
· Shielded metal arc welding (SMAW)
· Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW)
After signing up, you will receive a confirmation email confirming your chosen welding process and two blueprints for the first round of welds.
Registration closes on Thursday, April 30th.
