Plant tour of JW Bell (https://www.jwbell.com/) in Cedar Rapids, Iowa started in 1923 is a well-known aggregate processing specialist and the company continues to broaden its horizons into custom manufacturing. With 178,000ft ² under roof on 24 acres, they are equipped for any size project. Over 35 Cranes including three 50 ton overheads a full machine shop, 20’x75’ steel shot blast booth, 25’x100’ paint booth, CNC table capable of cutting 5” thick steel along with much more fabricating capabilities. Andy Zinn from Davenport West schools will also be on hand to give a presentation about the state of Iowa welding apprenticeship programs. |
