Event Summary: CCAC (Community College of Alleghany County) held their graduation ceremony on Thursday, 26 March 2026 at the Venango Technology Center. Thirteen students started the program in early October 2025 and completed the course on the 19th of March 2026. These students attended classes three nights a week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday). Night after night, after full days of CoOp work and High School Classes, this group came together—not just to learn a trade, but to forge a future. Each weld bead told a story: of patience, of persistence, of small failures turned into lasting strength. There were moments of frustration, yes, but also moments of pride when metal fused cleanly, when skill replaced hesitation.
This class covered 300 hours of Welding that included all welding processes, blueprint reading, OSHA – 10 Certification, and Forklift training. Upon graduation from High School these students will be awarded 18 College credits from CCAC.
All thirteen students are members of the AWS Oil Region Student Chapter
Congratulations to all graduates.
