Scholarships That Shape Welding’s Future<\/strong><\/h2>

The AWS Detroit Section helps develop the next generation of welding professionals in the Detroit, Michigan area by providing welding scholarships to students who are attending universities, community colleges, and trade schools.<\/p>

Our Scholarships <\/a>New Scholarships <\/a>Application Instructions <\/a>Application <\/a>2025-2026 Winners<\/a><\/div>

We provide scholarships to students who are attending universities, community colleges, and trade schools. This year the AWS Detroit Section has awarded 31 welding scholarships totaling $65,000. This Scholarship program is of utmost importance to the Detroit Section and feedback and ideas from all concerned is greatly appreciated. The scholarship process for the 2026-2027 school year will begin December 2025!<\/p>

Scholarship Night<\/h2>

The AWS Detroit Section presents scholarships at our September meeting to honor students who have received scholarships in an event known as Student Night.\u00a0 2025’s Student night took place on September 4th at Wayne State University, and welcomed students from Ferris State University, Lansing Community College, Oakland University, Schoolcraft Community College, Washtenaw Community College, and Wayne State University.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

2024-2025 Scholarship Winners<\/h4>\nOn September 12th, the AWS Detroit Section was privileged to honor students who received welding study scholarships. This year there were 37 students<\/a> recognized for their achievements and scholarship awards at St. Andrews Hall of Wayne State University.
