The Connecticut Port Authority was established in 2014, and its mission is to grow Connecticut\u2019s economy by strategically investing in the state\u2019s three deep-water\u00a0ports and small harbors to enable each to maximize its own economic potential. \u00a0<\/p>

Michael J. O\u2019Connor is a longtime Connecticut resident and Navy veteran. Prior to joining the Connecticut Port Authority, O\u2019Connor completed a 32-year career in commercial nuclear power, most recently as the Vice President at Dominion Energy\u2019s Millstone Nuclear Power Station in Waterford, Connecticut. \u00a0<\/p>

He is an elected member of the town of Bozrah\u2019s Board of Finance and has been the chairman for 26 years. Mr. O\u2019Connor is Vice Chair of the Mitchell College Board of Trustees and a past member of the Southeastern Connecticut Water Authority.<\/p>

Mr. O\u2019Connor\u2019s discussion will include a description of Connecticut’s ports, maritime businesses, including the New London State Pier’s journey into the offshore wind industry.\u00a0<\/p>
