Mark your calendar! 5:30 PM – April 11, 2023 The Connecticut Section AWS is hosting a joint meeting with the ASNT at the facilities of Fischer Technology located in Windsor, CT.
The evening will include some social time between 5:30 and 6:00 PM, a presentation between 6:00 and 6:45 PM with time for questions after the presentation. We will be given a tour of Fischer’s facility and there will be some hands-on demonstrations between 7:00 and 7:45 PM. The meeting will wrap up with grinders and soft drinks. Our speaker and guide is Rob Weber. Rob is Fischer Technology’s Technical Director, based in Windsor, CT. In his role, Rob’s focus is on the company’s product portfolio and measurement applications. He, and his team, actively support manufacturers and measurement professionals with technical advice on how best to measure their coatings and materials.  Rob actively supports trade associations, offering expertise to organizations in the coatings and materials industries. He often contributes to groups such as AMPP, CCAI, IPC, NASF and AWS. Rob has over 30 years’ experience within the semiconductor, electroplating, organic coating, and PVD/CVD industries in measuring thin and thick coatings and films. The facility is located at 750 Marshall Phillips Road, Windsor, Ct. This tour will include Fischer’s application lab, standard calibration lab, and our service facility. Reservations are required for this meeting.
