Be prepared for our Annual Christmas Party and Auction by bringing your donations and your cash, check book, or credit card to the holiday event. We will accept VISA, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express.<\/p>

For many years the Cleveland Section named scholarships have continued to assist students learning to weld, students enrolled in four-year university degree programs, and career welders learning a new process, or returning to college and this auction is the primary fund raiser for scholarships.<\/p>

These three named scholarships, the\u00a0John Gerken, the\u00a0Jack Buck, and the\u00a0Ray Sacha, represent members of the Cleveland Section who not only devoted time and energy to the welding industry but donated money to create scholarships. Each has a specific focus.<\/p>

The\u00a0Gerken Award\u00a0assists a student attend study a welding related program at a community college or university level for up to four years.<\/p>

The\u00a0Buck Award\u00a0lends a hand to a student developing pipe welding skills at the Lincoln Electric Welding School.<\/p>

The\u00a0Sacha Award\u00a0encourages a student to develop welding skills at the Lincoln Electric Welding School before or during the pursuit of a post secondary degree in a welding related program.<\/p>

The\u00a0OE Meyer Scholarship
These scholarships are awarded to residents within the Cleveland Section boundaries — Sandusky to Ashtabula, Cleveland to Akron. You do not have to be an AWS member or related to an AWS member to receive a scholarship.<\/p>

Plus, the Section administers general scholarship funds available for qualified candidates.<\/p>
