Additive is the hottest topic right now as many parts are being transferred over to additive due to the reduced time to manufacture compared to casting or forging. However, new types of defects are present in odd orientations requiring new NDT techniques. The presentation will address some of the new specifications, additive processes and show some defects and NDT methods used.
