Event Summary: The AWS Chattanooga Section recently hosted an event at the Local 43 Pipefitters Union focused on “How to Become a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI).” The evening began with an informative presentation outlining the requirements, benefits, and career opportunities available to those pursuing CWI certification in the welding industry.
Following the presentation, attendees participated in an engaging panel discussion with experienced CWIs, who shared valuable insight from their professional journeys and answered questions from the audience.
To conclude the event, the Local 43 Pipefitters Union provided a guided tour of their training shop, giving participants a firsthand look at the facilities and resources available for welding education and apprenticeship training.
This event was a great opportunity for networking, professional development, and promoting the importance of CWI certification within the welding community.
