The presentation is geared towards welders and welding inspectors, and will discuss why we inspect bridges constructed with T-1 steel, T-1 steel and its attributes, the qualification program developed by WJE for the inspections, critical findings, aspects of the defects encountered, retrofit solutions, as well as findings observed during the installation of retrofits.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The presenter, Jeremy Wheeless, PE, CWI, joined WJE in 2018 with more than eight years of experience in the construction industry working as a licensed journeyman ironworker and certified welder. Since joining WJE, Mr. Wheeless&#8217; work on bridge projects has included load rating, strengthening retrofit design and installation, design and installation of retrofits for fatigue-sensitive details, and design of jacking procedures and assemblies for structural repairs and modifications. He has performed non-destructive evaluation using magnetic particle and dye penetrant testing, as well as overseeing ultrasonic testing and phased array ultrasonic testing methods. Mr. Wheeless has also performed fracture critical and in-depth inspections and retrofit installation using industrial rope access techniques.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Space is limited.
