Event Summary: Mr. Kyle Naylor made a presentation on manufacturing of steel and stainless steel products at Athena Manufacturing. Athena has an impressive array of automation including welding and assembly robots, CNC machining, and laser cutting.
Athena is also participating in the Texas P-Tech (Pathways in Technology Early College High School program) with Elgin Highschool and Austin Community College. This program provides an opportunity for students to achieve their Associates Degree before graduating High School in Welding Technology. Athena gives these students the opportunity to be an official intern during their senior year of High School.
After Mr. Naylor’s presentation, the meeting attendees were given a plant tour to see laser welding and cutting, robotic welding, and assembly.
