Event Summary: SIMET-USACH hosted an end of year event and tour for CWB Chile Chapter and visitor from USA, Daniela Lowry, AWS District 17 Central Texas Section Chair.
For the end of year event, Daniela provided a presentation on welding inspection at Austin Energy and shared her experiences being a part of the Central Texas Section. Yasmin Aguilera shared her experiences getting into the welding and inspection field in Chile. A Q&A session followed with attendees and online participants.
On behalf of SIMET-USACH, Engineer Alejandro Castillo, Research and Development Manager, gave attendees a guided tour of the facilities in the Department of Metallurgical Engineering.
The guided tour was a success, as it made it possible to establish a direct link and laid the foundations for future collaborations and joint projects.
