November 2019 Section Meeting Notice<\/strong><\/h2>

Greetings AWS Central Louisiana Section Members & Friends,<\/p>

Our October meeting the Louisiana Delta Community College in Winnsboro was one of are larges attended meetings this year. A presentation on Welding Defects and Discontinuities lead by Section Chairman Tom\u00a0Malo. There were 31 student and 8 AWS members in attendance, the students were very engaged and asked a lot of questions.<\/p>

Our November meeting will be held at the new CLTCC Riverside Campus; we will tour the new facility which has 56 individual welding booths additionally we will also discuss the CLTCC Welding course offerings.<\/p>

On December 5, 2019 the AWS Central Louisiana Section will hold its 4th Annual High School Welding Competition; we currently have 46 students from 10 High Schools competing. We are asking any Central Louisiana Section CWI\u2019s to volunteer to be one of the 3 needed competition Judges.
