Throughout the year we conduct fund raising to allow the section to promote welding educational presentations to local Junior High School, High School, and Junior Collages in the Central and North Louisiana Parishes. In the past our fund raising efforts have allowed us to do the following;<\/p><ul><li>Purchased a Lincoln Electric Virtual welding machine, which we take to Career Day events throughout the many Parishes we support. Our current estimate is we have demonstrated welding by using this machine to 10,000 student plus.<\/li><li>We have establish a Scholarship Endowment allowing the Central Louisiana Section 509 the ability to award an annual $1000.00 Scholarship. To date the section has awarded a $1000.00 Scholarship in 2018 and 2019.<\/li><li>We have purchased AV equipment to allow the section to perform enhanced presentations.<\/li><li>For the last 3 years we have sponsored the AWS Central Louisiana Section High School Welding Competition.
