May 5, 2017. Celebration of Welding Day at Forge-Greensboro (NC)\u00a0<\/h3>

May 5 2017, Friday night. Streams of people are passing multiple breweries and gathering in a small building near S.Elm str. All they came for celebration of Welding Day and Anniversary of Forge – Greensboro – a Makerspace located in Downtown Greensboro, North Carolina, which strives to provide the community with inexpensive access to a workshop area and a collaborative space, filled with equipment and high-end technology not commonly available to individuals. The space provides an area for advanced software development, digital design, electronics fabrication, meetings, seminars, and more. community club-style place for local start-ups, handymen, curious people who want to learn how to make things, and how to make things better. This oasis of technical possibilities, opportunities and education for local technology enthusiasts was founded in 2013 and now is managed by Joe Rotondi ,jrotondi@forgegreensboro.org .<\/p>

Chair of AWS Carolina Section Sergey Kobelev (Welko-Tech LLC) gives away comics with Ironman-Weldman and gave some historic perspective of AWS, that by the way, is one of the oldest professional societies in the US (since 1919) as well as presentation of Thermal Spray (arc and oxy-fuel) methods and equipment for viewers. Computer presentation of Drone applications for aerial inspections of welded structures were demonstrated to viewers.<\/em><\/p>
