Hello AWS Section\u00a0Members,<\/p>
There will\u00a0be a\u00a0Certified Welding Inspectors seminar followed by a test the week of March 18, 2018. The exam is Saturday March 24, 2018. Current CWI\u2019s in need of their 9-year recertification may take the part B exam at this exam as well. The deadline for applications is February 12, 2018. Log into aws.org<\/a> then the certification link for application and information.<\/p> The seminar and test will be held at the Carpenters Local 67 Training Center 750 Adams Street Dorchester, MA. All applications must be done through the AWS Certification portal on the AWS.org<\/a> website<\/u>. AWS Certification does not have a hotel affiliated with this seminar. There are several reasonably priced hotels nearby. Holiday Inn Express, Comfort inn, Ramada and Best Western. If you don\u2019t want to commute every day please\u00a0book your own hotel arrangements in advance.<\/p> The dollar value of these scholarship range from $1,000.00 to $2,750.00. If it takes an hour to fill out an application that\u2019s a pretty good rate of return of investment. District One has $20,000 in scholarship funds to award to qualified applicants.<\/p> Monday March 26, 2018<\/strong><\/p> Plant Tour:<\/p> DW Clark Foundry East Bridgewater, MA. A device that can fabricate complex geometries and reduce delivery times from 14-16 weeks down to 1-2 weeks.\u00a0<\/p>
