Founded in 1952 – An open house for Lee County Hospital is held on February 10th and 11th,1959 – The hospital receives its first accreditation by The Joint Commission. 1962 – The hospital’s first expansion takes place as 30 beds are added and a 37-bed nursing home is constructed. EAMC is now a 340-bed regional referral hospital located in Opelika, Ala., that serves a six-county area and employs nearly 3,000 employees. EAMC is Lee County’s second largest employer.
We will have the opportunity to hear and see all the updates that makes this facility run.
Please meet in the main lobby (canopy 1) and check-in as visitor with the engineering department. When everyone arrives, we’ll go to a meeting space. Mr. Keith Mayes, Lead Engineer will lead the tour & presentation of the new Boiler facility. |
