Scholarship \u2013 Four Alaska students applied.\u00a0 Dennis (Me) was sent the voting ballot for scholarship candidate selection but has not worked it yet. \u00a0 Need to finish by District Conference meeting, June 4, 2022.\u00a0 Added note – Any member that would like to learn the scholarship selection process can volunteer with Dennis, send email to\u00a0Alaska@awssectoins.org<\/a>

Treasure Report – and AWS Alaska Foundation scholarship \u2013 Creighton Moore updated

AWS Alaska Section 125, Section Officers and Volunteers needed.\u00a0\u00a0 An on-going need.\u00a0\u00a0 Dennis Long (Me) will be stepping down from the AWS AK Chair (Acting) June 1st, and will move to a Member-At-Large position to actively support any officer position transitions. \u00a0\u00a0The Chair, a Vice-Chair, Secretary will be posted Vacant June 1 on the website (https:\/\/awssection.com\/alaska\/<\/a>) until these positions are filled.

AWS Alaska Section Bylaws –\u00a0 Update needed to fit current Alaska better.\u00a0 Alaska Section Members have not shown interest in updating the by-laws.\u00a0 A different direction may need to be discussed. \u00a0

AWS Alaska, Library status \u00a0\u2013 \u00a0Nothing done yet.

AWS District 19 Conference meeting –\u00a0 Portland OR is hosting this year and graciously put together the following conference

Dates: June 3rd and 4th (Fri, Sat)
Location: Hotel Rose, Downtown Portland, OR
Friday June 3rd 6pm – meet and greet in the Morrison Room.
Saturday June 4th 8am – District Conference meeting in the Morrison Room

Any Alaska Section Member interested in attending, please let Dennis (Me) know soon,\u00a0Alaska@awssecitons.org<\/a>. \u00a0 Flights are paid by AWS HQ, and lodging, meals and ground transportation is paid for by AWS AK Sec.

Possibly combine future AWS AK section meeting with other technical society(s), i.e. ASCE, ASME, ASNT, SEAAK, Others.
