Come join us for the January 2020 AWS Alaska Section meeting and tour of North Iron Engineering Metallurgical Lab<\/strong>, Anchorage, Alaska.
(You do not need to be an AWS member to attend.)<\/p>

FACILITY TOUR and SPEAKER<\/strong>

North Iron Engineering (NIE) is proud to operate Alaska’s only commercial metallurgical engineering test laboratory. Metallurgical analysis can be applied to welding engineering, corrosion engineering, metals forming, casting and root cause failure analysis. Historically these metallurgical services were handled out of state by engineers and laboratories based in Texas and Ohio. Alaska’s unique blend of harsh weather, aging infrastructure, and delicate ecosystems create an environment where failure is not an option.<\/p>
