District 19 District Conference – District 19 Conference (Hybrid) is Saturday June 3rd 2023 in Edmonton Alberta Canada.   ALASKA will be attending.   Still open for another to travel to meeting,

ALASKA Section ByLaws – Old (1981) vs. New Draft (2023). It is encouraged to adopt new draft and later amend to fit ALASKA Section members, geography, and other unique situations.

Both bylaws were previously email distributed to members for the Dec. 7, 2022 zoom meeting. Check you emails.

2023 AWS Head Quarters (Miami) Training Events – AWS Instructor’s Institute – July 23-28 2023, and the AWS Leadership Symposium July 30–Aug 2 2023. Training events are still open for ALASKA Members to apply.

Other items – Open discussion at meeting. 2023 Scholarship update;   I.E. In-person meeting;   SkillsUSA;   Summer Student membership;   Current ACTING Officer’s positions;   Welding community participation (industry, supply, education/training.)

  • Any Alaska Member and/or Organization can host an In-Person meeting.   AWS ALASKA will support an event.   Discuss at upcoming meeting, or email @ alaska@awssections.org
