Event Summary: Section member Peter Daley was awarded the honor of 2025-2026 Alaska Teacher of the Year by the Alaska Department of Education. Over 100 teachers from various teaching disciplines were nominated for this honor. Peter has been a welding teacher for 23 years and is a CWI in addition to his many other qualifications. Peter is a strong advocate for CTE education through his local volunteer efforts and travels to the state and US capitols to lobby for increased welding education funding.
