Early Meeting Called

Since there was not a quorum at the April 23rd On Campus meeting, it is necessary to hold a special election to vote on the 2003-2004. This meeting will be held on September 10th at 7:00 PM.

Elected Positions Open:

Chairman Responsibilities:
The Chairman is responsible for the over-all leadership of TAMU-AWS.

The duties include:

bulletsets agenda and guides meetings
bulletprime contact for all outside organizations
bulletco-ordinates Executive Committee
bulletMaintains (along with Treasurer) all finances

Vice Chairman Responsibilities:
The Vice Chairman fulfills the duties of the Chairman, when the Chairman can not attend meetings, etc. The Vice Chairman is responsible for reserving rooms for On-Campus meetings, etc.

Secretary Responsibilities:
The Secretary is responsible for documenting the minutes of all meetings, reserving meeting rooms, and assisting with most of the paperwork involved in operating the society.

Treasurer Responsibilities:
The Treasurer is responsible for all financial obligations of the society. He/She will maintain the society's account at the Student Organization Finance Office, and process all income and debts according to University rules and our Constitution.

ATTENTION!!

We need as many dues-paid members as possible to be present, so that we can vote for each respective position.

All people who are interested in one or more of the positions are requested to email Dave Mason, the Acting President to add you to the ballot.

 

 

Speaker

We will be having a guest speaker from ESAB Welding and Cutting Solutions who will discuss the direction that welding technologies are headed.

Joe Dyson ('02) is the Texas region representative for ESAB.
