AWS Section Meetings
General Information
AWS membership consists of engineers, scientists, educators, researchers,
welders, inspectors, welding foremen,
business owners, company executives, and sales associates. Interests include automatic,
semi-automatic and
manual welding, as well as brazing, soldering, ceramics, lamination, robotics, and safety and
health.
Meetings provide great educational and networking opportunities. You do not have to be an AWS member to
attend. Professionals, students and
guests are always welcomed!

Brian presented the
scope of the safety audit that was performed following the fatal ceiling panel collapse
that occurred in one of the tunnels of Boston's "Big
Dig." He also discussed the inspection techniques
used in this audit and the results of the investigation.
